Note that while the quiz does cover the federal minimum wage, many states and cities have passed ordinances establishing their own wage and hour rules, along with their own rules on sexual orientation discrimination, labor relations, and employee rights.
This quiz also does not cover scheduling laws, like those passed in New York, Seattle, Chicago, and San Francisco.

What else should I know?

Labor law compliance isn’t enough. In a competitive labor market, you should go beyond baseline compliance with additional benefits like family medical leave, an increased hourly wage if you can, and a welcoming work environment.
